There will be a memory for those to come

The granaries of memory

Detail in the painting of “The last judgement” in the Notre- Dame des Fontaines chapel in La Brigue (France), painted by Giovanni Canavesio from Pinerolo in 1492.

The detail represents Solomon and abbot St Anthony around the tree of life. The cartouche carries a verse from the Ecclesiastes without the original interrogatory in the sentence “There will be a memory for those to come.”
